Cose di una nonna, chapter 2

I ricordi di una nonna raccontano storie di una vita passata ma anche presente..conservarli come oggetti preziosi nel nostro quotidiano creano in noi degli stream of consciousness. Riportano in vita tutti quegli episodi, a volte buffi e immemori, connessi a quello che può sembrare un semplice oggetto antico.

Inseriti nelle nostre case contemporanee aiutano a dare un senso a ciò che viviamo oggi e a dare un valore estetico e di bellezza che solo uno splendido pezzo che ha un vissuto può donare a quei vuoti angoli bianchi che sempre di più colmano le nostre case.

Le nonne custodiscono i ricordi di una vita. Piccole preziose meraviglie che rappresentano la loro storia e il nostro tempo. Osservandoli sfuggevolmente non ci rendiamo conto del significato che rappresentano per portare dentro di noi il loro ricordo e tutto ciò che hanno saputo costruire e tramandare.

Le case delle nonne sono piccoli cofanetti di gioie, magia e splendidi oggetti che ci aiutano a ricordare l'arte di un tempo.

Questo atelier situato nel cuore di Parigi, dal nome Des Plis, ci ricorda quanto bello e piacevole sia giocare con la carta. Aperto quarant'anni fa da Serge Barbier, un artigiano esperto le cui creazioni passano dal minimalismo alla gioia coloratissima, è ora diretto da sua figlia Juliette, aiutata dall'intera famiglia Barbier. 

This paper workshop in the heart of Paris, named Des Plis, reminds us how beautiful and delightful is to play with paper. Opened forty years ago by Serge Barbier, an expert craftman whose creations jump from the minimalism to the most colorful glee, it'is now run by his daughter Juliette with the help of the whole Barbier family.

Bathboat

Bathboat by Dutch designer Wieki Somers is a part of the collection of the museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam. It was also exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum's Telling Tales exhibition.
