Pure poetry

Masao Yamamoto represents dreams and interior truths, fragments of the world.
His pictures are objects, little pieces with a big intrinsic value.
His exhibitions are stream of images which tell a story.
His work tiptoes between the world of art and that of photography: he develops negatives without enlarging them and transforms then the prints tearing borders, coloring them and inserting red stripes.

Kyle Bean's windows

Last summer the windows in Selfridges commercial centre, London, have been a set of sculptures by Kyle Bean based on scientific law of conservation of energy.
Bean has drawn on the scientific theory – which states that 'matter cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed' – to create five works for Selfridges. Each consists of a set of giant hanging scales on which two items are placed. One is an object in its original form, the other a transformed version of it. The scales then prove that the objects are still of equal weight, and thus still essentially the same.
In one display, Bean has transformed a cardboard packing box into an office chair, while another shows 1000 aluminum cans mutated into a small cube. For a third window, Bean has drawn on his paper crafting skills to create a stunning sculpture of a castle from the pages of three fairytale books.
The other two works see a wedding cake and a Honda Fireblade motorcycle turned into mobiles

Look Mum, no hands!

 London
Look Mum No Hands is the clever name of a new cafe/bar/bike workshop that recently opened in Old Street. Here you can enjoy some seriously delicious coffee and cake while your bike is being tended to by an expert bicycle mechanic. The interior of the former architectural showroom is pared down and airy, with a select few beautiful vintage bikes on display in the window and some large prints of past races on the walls. The minimalist look of the space is enhanced with striking details, such as the vintage lamps above the bar that have the added quirky touch of hanging from bicycle chains. They also have a lovely outdoor area that will no doubt be very busy on sunny days. The relaxed, fuss free space and staff have won me over and I will definitely not wait for bicycle problems to go there again.

Delicious

Made by Fly 16x9

Cake is the best fashion video I have ever seen. This 20 minutes long video shows you a girl eating a whole cake while wearing AF Vandervorst. That cake sure looks delicious.

A cake in Tokyo

Japanese Cake Walk

The Japanese are known for giant monsters and cute things; this sculpture by artist  Kozoo combines the two in this sculpture, SmileCake,HappyCake in Roppongi, Tokyo. The yellow cake topped with an enormous strawberry is accompanied by an equally large fork; good thing.

To live with books

Kueng Caputo, Zurich

A shop becomes a sort of home library, forgetting to be in a shop window...just if the books would have been spreaded in any street of the city and everyone could use them.

Chocolate factory

 Monki, Oslo

The next autumn this shop is opened in Oslo. Monki is a chain of fashion stores that combines illustrations and cloths, and every single store has its own unique interior design. This interior makes me think of Willy Wonka. The cloths are inspired from street wear in Tokyo mixed with the best from Scandinavia.

Taste the sweetness

Garden of Delight, Marieke Van Der Bruggen

In this paradise candies are taken to a new level, designing a forest of edible, glass-like tree branches dangling from the ceiling.
I think that it's wonderful word to children and adults where start to use all our five senses.

Rebirth

Arne Quinze

Arne Quinze's installation for the five stars hotel Royal Monceau in Paris was a spectacular one-night stand. Rebirth is a futuristic and provoking wooden sculpture.
In full contrast with the deco interior's decoration, this strange installation has been the base of "Demolition Party" where VIP guests were invited to smash and wreck.

Shop deco

Maurice Mentjens

The shop interior of Ami-e-toi in Arnhem has an extravagant and luxurious look. Ami-e-toi is the Dutch clothing label of Mode Met een Missie,a foundation dedicated to helping vulnerable women and allowing them to rediscover their self-respect.
The name of the collection is a reference to the French for “my friend and I”. It is meant as a message that nothing and no-one exists in isolation and that we are all connected with other people. Many women rediscover their self-respect through their work in the ateliers. Personal growth enables them to build a new life.
The new Ami-e-toi shop in Arnhem is in glamour style of the 1920s and 1930s, a period full of expectation in which the avant-garde flourished in art and culture.
We find the same meeting of contrasts in the interior, designed by the Dutch interior designer Maurice Mentjens.

Bears Cave

y
Paul Coudamy

It consists in rehabilitation of a shop into headquarters for a computer firm. The idea is to reflect Bearstech Company innovative and animal image in order to promote the wild and raw aspects of their approach of virtual technology and communicate a feeling of strength.
The intimate atmosphere is organized in three different spaces : working space, leisure space and meeting space.
The space that you can see in the pictures is a meeting space that is covered with a wooden structure and looks like hurricanes.

With a blow

Tokujin Yoshioka

A very interesting installation in Tokyo for fashion brand Hermès. The installation shows a movie of a woman appears to blow on a scarf hanging in the window.
It was called Maison Hermès Window Display.
"On designing a window-display at the 1F Maison Hermes, I intended to express people’s daily “movements” with a suspicion of humor. There are moments when I perceive a hidden presence of a person in the movements born naturally in daily life. In this installation, I created a space where one can perceive someone behind the scarves as if life were breathed into them. "

Abastract shapes
